We run a number of regular longer rides. Our favourites are;
Sunny Hunny - Hunstanton and back.
This should be on every Rocko rider's bucket list, a ride to the seaside and back in a day. It's a big day, with over 282km/175miles covered. A lot is flat, but beware of the headwind on the return...
Tour de Leicestershire - This is a century ride (and a bit) - 180km/112 miles. From the clubhouse we go north around Melton, across to Loughborough and Coalville, before returning via Market Harborough.
In March 2023, Rocko Club Members enjoyed a weeklong Spanish adventure organised by Cycle Sierra Nevada.
They were treated to great road surfaces, very little vehicle traffic, respectful drivers, mountain and coastal routes with breathtaking views and smile-inducing decents!
The trip was so successful that it was agreed the club would head to the sunshine again in 2024

In March 2024, a group of 28 Rocko Club Members spent a week in Calpe in Spain under the guidance of local experts Vuelta Turistica.
Beautiful views along the Mediterranean Sea and mountain landscapes were enjoyed as they tested their legs in the sunshine.

Plans for the club`s cycling holiday in 2025 are already underway.
In July 2022, we marked a significant milestone as our clubhouse reached its 50th year. To commemorate this occasion, we transformed the clubhouse into the Wheelers Rest Café & Coffee Stop, extending a warm welcome to cyclists and clubs from all corners of the region, in addition to the general public. Our celebratory weekend showcased a cycling art exhibit by the talented local artist, Maxine Dodd. It also featured a display of classic bicycles and an array of vintage cycling artifacts spanning the past seven decades. The event enjoyed resounding success, establishing itself as a new annual tradition.
